Hello there,
Hi, I’m Brad Bartell, a Director of Digital Marketing and Customer Experience based in Ladera Ranch, California. I bring a rare blend of web development expertise and marketing strategy, paired with a strong track record of team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Over the years, I’ve contributed to and led high-impact projects across international organizations and digital agencies. One of the highlights of my career was leading the creation of Content Kit, an app for Arbonne that enables brand-compliant social content creation — a tool that’s made a tangible impact for their field sellers.
Modere
Director of Digital Media and Customer Experience
Mar 2025 – Apr 2025
This exquisite compilation showcases a diverse array of photographs that capture the essence of different eras and cultures, reflecting the unique styles and perspectives of each artist. Fleckenstein’s evocative imagery, Strand’s groundbreaking modernist approach, and Kōno’s meticulous documentation of Japanese life come together in a harmonious blend that celebrates the art of photography. Each image in “The Stories Book” is accompanied by insightful commentary, providing historical context and revealing the stories behind the photographs. This collection is not only a visual feast but also a tribute to the power of photography to preserve and narrate the multifaceted experiences of humanity.
IT Contractor
Feb 2024 – Mar 2025
As a contractor at Modere, I used my previous experience to enhance the Web Development skills of the team, build lines of communication with other departments, and manage 3rd parties. I used my experience with web development and Social Marketing to improve the User experience for sellers and customers. I brought the company’s Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager up to standards so dataLayer events could do multiple things and Analytics offered actionable measurements. I also worked with the UX team to optimize mobile experiences
Cutera
Web Development Manager
Sept 2020 – Feb 2024
As the Web Development Manager my role was to look at current systems and bring them up to more modern standards while also looking for opportunities to empower Cutera employees through technologies. I consolidated multiple sites onto a standard server setup and added better security to accessing these systems through SAML with Okta. Another focus of my role is working with contractors/agencies to both manage timelines and development standards. As needed I would also use puppeteer to crawl sites to gather data.
Arbonne
Manager Front End Development
Mar 2016 – Sept 2020
As the Manager of Front End Development, I recruited, managed, mentored and developed a high performing team of developers. I empowered team members to take ownership of projects and work with various ranking business leaders with confidence. I focused on building team standards and fostering collaboration between my team and various business leaders inside and outside of IT. My team had gained a reputation of being easy to work with and delivering high quality solutions. After building a reputation for success on my team, I shifted my team to exploring new technologies. These include: javascript frameworks, node, automation, and native app development.
Front End Developer
Dec 2014 – Mar 2016
As a Front End Developer, it was my responsibility to execute the designs of our digital designers and the requests of business leaders. I implemented improvements to our team’s workflow by switching SVN to Git, adopting Bootstrap, and finding solutions to business requests that worked within limitations of our ecom system.
Website Specialist (contractor)
Nov 2013 – Dec 2014
As a Website Specialist, I was brought in to assist with creating web pages based on designers’ Photoshop documents. As I worked in this role, I tested the capabilities of the system and was able to create more accurate web pages based on the supplied documents. This empowered the designers to create more complex pages that were more interactive than they were previously able to create.
Apria Healthcare
Front-End Mobile Web Developer (contractor)
Oct 2012 – Nov 2013
I was contracted to create a web app that provided the sales team the status of their orders. At the time, their team had to rely on a terminal application to get their data. This system enabled their mobile team members to access their data on their smartphones. After the creation of the web app, I worked with various teams across the organization to fix errors, create training resources, and answer additional questions. I designed and coded the front end of the system. The source of data was provided by a Java developer.
DE Web Works
Website Specialist
Apr 2011 – Aug 2012
As a Website Specialist it was my responsibility to deliver a web page that matched the designs presented to clients. Most of the sites were created in a .NET CMS called Sitefinity. Some were delivered on the WordPress CMS. One of the more unique challenges was learning Mono, now MonoDevelop, to create a native app for iOS.
